United States Mint 2009 Silver Coin Proof Set Available July 17

The eighteen coin 2009 United States Mint Silver Proof Set was made available on July 17, 2009 and is one of the more highly anticipated arrivals of the year.

This year’s Silver Proof Coin set includes as follows: One each of the Jefferson 5-cent coin, Roosevelt dime and Kennedy half-dollar; (4) Presidential $1 Coins featuring William Henry Harrison, John Tyler, James K. Polk and Zachary Taylor; (1) Native American $1 Coin; (6) Commemorative quarter-dollar coins celebrating the District of Columbia and 5 United States territories (American Samoa, Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, U.S. Virgin Islands and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands); (4) Lincoln Bicentennial One-Cent Coins struck in honor of the 200th anniversary of Abraham Lincoln’s birth. Struck in lustrous 90% silver will be the dime, half-dollar, and six quarters.

All of the coins will bear the United States Mint at San Francisco “S” mintmark, and will include a Certificate of Authenticity signed by the Director of the U.S. Mint.
